When you’re starting out with trading, you have a long list of things that you must learn. For most of us, we start out with something along the lines of “when do I buy and when do I sell?” We all inherently understand that there’s a lot to the whole mess, but ultimately it just comes down to “buy low sell high” right? It took me forever to wrap my mind around the actual components of a trading business. It took even longer to map it out in a coherent way. But the above image is the result of my efforts. You can see that the actually act of trading is just one piece of the puzzle and execution (when to buy / when to sell) is just one piece of the actual trading puzzle called “execution” and has little or no relation to the other elements of the trading business. Study this image and build your own trading business using whatever products you find that help you achieve these goals.

As time goes on, I’m going to continue to update this page with more descriptions of each element and resources that can help you understand how to structure a trading business.
